As a Data Science Lead at Medlior, Lee is responsible for developing and implementing methodologies and standard operating procedures to support robust and consistent utilization, costing, and outcomes analysis. Lee has thirty years of experience providing advisory services to provincial and territorial governments and their agencies, health care providers across the continuum of care, and pan-Canadian stakeholders such as The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), Health Canada and Statistics Canada.
Lee has led the development, implementation, and evaluation of a wide range of analytical methodologies used to inform evidence-based provincial health care funding allocations, develop clinical program and human resource plans, and evaluate health system performance and outcomes. Lee has extensive experience with the linkage of provincial and pan-Canadian scale financial, statistical, clinical and population databases.
Lee has also contributed to foundational Canadian health information standards and methodologies having been engaged by CIHI to lead numerous pan-Canadian assignments on a wide range of topics that include patient and health care provider costing, case mix classifications methodologies, information needs assessments, and the evaluation of compliance with national minimum reporting standards and data quality of provincial and territorial submission to CIHI. Lee has a deep understanding of Canada’s health system developed leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams in the execution of operational and program reviews across the continuum of care. Lee obtained his MSc from McMaster University in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics
