As a Data Scientist at Medlior, Saman uses administrative and survey data to find answers to difficult research questions. Prior to joining Medlior, Saman honed her skills in analyzing large administrative and registry datasets at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). Saman has also worked at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids, affiliated with the University of Toronto), where her research used mixed-methods study designs, such as systematic literature reviews, and both qualitative and quantitative analyses of population-level data. Saman has co-authored manuscripts and reports in various fields, including chronic disease, health system use, global child health, and indigenous health. Saman received her MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Western University and her BSc in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University.
